Desert contemporary can be interpreted in different ways. Clean, modern, textural, artful. This Scottsdale retreat for a Minnesota family was transformed from a 1999 contemporary into a warm and more elegant version of itself, through an extensive renovation.
This project was an extensive renovation in North Scottsdale, including raising the height of the roof, expanding the footprint of the main home, and adding a casita and roof deck. Custom millwork, custom lighting, and hand applied wall finishes are some of the hallmarks of this project… including the pattern on the master tub which we commissioned by a local artist, Anna Sadler. The furnishings are not complete as of this posting so more shots of the home and casita will be added later in 2020, but here is a preview of some of the home’s uniquely artful interior spaces…
