This award-winning 4,400 square foot home in the Estancia community of North Scottsdale, AZ is nestled at the base of Pinnacle Peak Mountain. The original Tuscan interior of both the main home and casista were completely gutted, then renovated.  There is now a cleaner transitional aesthetic while still respecting the rustic architecture with desert colors, natural woods, and unique textures incorporated throughout.

The axis of the kitchen was shifted and the rear wall of the home was opened up, adding new glass and removing soffits. The fireplaces were redesigned and all areas of this home updated, including the two bedroom, two bath detached casita. The homeowner, a retired designer from Chicago, gave herself the gift of hiring us to help her and her husband through the process, and was an integral part of the overall design and selections.

The kitchen design won a national 2020 First Place BALA (Best In American Living) award from the National Association of Home Builders.
