My expectations when I hired Amy were lofty, since she came highly recommended from our friends. She did not disappoint!

Whenever I have talked to other designers in the past, they seemed either too eager to please (“yes, sure, we can do whatever you want”) or too set in their ways (“no, this HAS to be this way, or else it won’t look good”). Amy was the one designer I felt comfortable with because she is right in the middle: she took my ideas and goals into account, but she still provided the guidance and expertise I needed to make my space look beautiful and pulled together.

Amy was so patient with me! I came with a lot of ideas, and she listened carefully. I wanted a space that was casually elegant yet at the same time comfortable, colorful, fun, and functional for our family of four. We hired Amy to furnish our foyer, large living room, and dining room. Coming from New York, we were used to a much smaller scale, and we were wowed by the high ceilings and romantic Spanish architecture of our new house in Paradise Valley. I wanted the space to feel fresh, modern, and bright, but I insisted on respecting that Spanish character. Amy helped me achieve just that – she has an expert eye for color, dimension, texture, and everything else to consider in design.

Now the interior of the house seems to blend seamlessly with the exterior. We love how the space looks and feels, and what’s best, we actually use it all the time. And here is what I liked best about working with Amy: not only is she very professional and good at what she does, she is also a kind person — so friendly, so sweet, so happy — in short, a true pleasure to work with.
