With sweeping views of the valley, this desert contemporary home is perched on a hillside with private, steep mountains on both sides, allowing the kitchen and bathrooms to have expansive windows with full privacy. ‘Bathing in the garden’ was our inspiration for the master bath and guest bathrooms, with showers and tub spaces placed on full-height windows. Desert neutral tones and unique custom textures elevate this home while keeping the focus on the views.
This was a complete home renovation in the Desert Highlands community of North Scottsdale, including the front and rear landscape and patio areas.
The great room fireplace is clad in wavy walnut paneling and is flanked by two custom integrated backlit stone panels made from ‘Crystalo’ quartzite. We created intentional curved soffits and used furniture pieces that played off these curves, including a custom curved banquette at the breakfast area.
